No morning sickness 7 weeks

I’m 7 weeks and have had no morning sickness, other than hunger pangs if I don’t eat every few hours (I’m defs hungry more than normal) but I don’t feel sick.

Im knackered and sleeping way more than usual but finding the lack of sickness a bit odd as I’m normally such a nauseous person (I get bad travel sickness) which I have heard means you’re more likely to get bad morning sickness. Obviously I’m not complaining but also find the lack of sickness a bit worrying - is this normal??

Mine kicked in later, about 9 weeks. But not everyone experiences it.

Enjoy it while it lasts!

Mumtothreex · 31/01/2024 10:19

I didn’t have sickness with any of my 3 pregnancies. Enjoy being sickness free! I was absolutely knackered and extreme hunger pangs at the start like you with this one though (third boy and only pregnancy Ive had any sort of symptoms) x

TempleOfBloom · 31/01/2024 10:21

It’s not compulsory 🙂 , I didn’t have morning sickness.

Congratulations on your pregnancy , enjoy it!

QueSyrahSyrah · 31/01/2024 10:21

Enjoy it OP! I'm 22 weeks now with a healthy wriggly baby and never had more than a fleeting moment of nausea. I consider myself very lucky compared to what some Women go through.

Hann376 · 31/01/2024 10:23

Thanks - this is reassuring!

I didnt get any morning sickness at all. 2 healthy pregnancies
No issues.

ExpectantEs · 31/01/2024 11:00

I've had no morning sickness and I'm 17 weeks pregnant and still feel the same as I did pre-pregnancy! Just more tired and a growing bump now x
Be grateful for the lack of morning sickness as I heard it can be really bad!

As I lay here unable to get out of bed, unable to eat or drink anything and taking medication for unbearable 24/7 sickness all I can say is I’m VERY jealous! 😂 it is absolutely normal for some women to get no sickness. My sister in law had no sickness whatsoever in her first pregnancy, she had hyperemesis in her second, each pregnancy is different! This is my third pregnancy and I PRAYED to be one of the lucky ones this time but it wasn’t to be! 😂 Enjoy it!!!

L00k4m3x · 31/01/2024 16:52

Also to add to my previous comment I have a friend who had twins in her first pregnancy and she had NO sickness. She’s pregnant now with a singleton and has been super sick. Feels backwards! 😂

thanks for the reassurance! Sorry to hear you feel so rubbish, hope you feel better soon! X

I have 2 close friends who have recently given birth to healthy babies - neither of them had any sickness at all! So don't worry at all, count yourself lucky!

MariaVT65 · 01/02/2024 01:43

Your symptoms are normal :)

I also had the same for both pregnancies in first trimester:

-Exhausted
-Starving
-No sickness

I never had any morning sickness in my pregnancies. Lots of women don't. Thank your lucky stars!

Mangotango39 · 01/02/2024 02:56

No sickness here (having baby next week)
To be honest, I have barely had any of the typical symptoms throughout my whole pregnancy!

Ladyj84 · 01/02/2024 03:07

I wish that had been me as all 4 I was sick till the very end my body hated being pregnant

DramaAlpaca · 01/02/2024 03:29

Lucky you, is all I can say!

Mine kicked off at 9 weeks, 12 weeks and 5 weeks. In the first two pregnancies I thought I'd escaped then it happened. In all three pregnancies it lasted until past 20 weeks. I was miserable.

Hopefully you'll escape it. Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy x

WavingCatsandDogs · 01/02/2024 05:25

Two pregnancies, no sickness, tired in month three but no other symptoms so much as was worried at scans I'd dreamt it all!!

Only symptom was drinking lots of water. I literally bloomed (and balooned as they were both 9lb! - I'm
5'3" ) 😊

Enjoy your pregnancy!

Traumdeuter · 01/02/2024 05:30

Another one with no sickness and just some fleeting nausea, which did kick in at about 8 weeks but only lasted a few days. Co graduations and I hope you stay free of sickness!

SparklingDaisy · 01/02/2024 05:31

I had sickness with my boy (first pregnancy) but nothing with my girl.

JRTfan · 01/02/2024 08:05

No symptoms at all here and I'm now nearly 20 weeks! Honestly wouldn't have had a clue I was pregnant if it wasn't IVF.
I was worried in earlier weeks too because society has made us all expect to be horrendously ill and some people are..But symptoms are not an indicator of a successful pregnancy so just try and enjoy feeling good.

BarbaricPeach · 01/02/2024 08:44

I never had morning sickness. I didn't vomit a single time. I think around 8-14 weeks I became quite sensitive to smells and they made me feel queasy and put me off my food, but I never felt close to the physical point of vomiting.

Screwballs · 01/02/2024 09:19

Ive had no sickness at all, now 27 weeks. I did develop a bit of car sickness that I dont usually get, which was triggered by being on my phone (as a passenger), so I just stopped doing that and also choose to drive when possible.

Favouritefruits · 01/02/2024 09:21

I have awful travel sickness but didn’t really get any morning sickness, I guess we are just very lucky!!
