Hey!

I found out this weekend I’m pregnant. I had a day of lots of queasiness which trailed a bit into the next day, and I had lots of headaches at this time. I’ve had on and off abdomen and back pain/twinges and my breasts are sore.

the only thing is, right now the queasiness has eased. I thought if anything it would get worse! is this okay/normal? it’s not like I’m completely symptom free I just feel a bit different to how the week started. I’ve also had to do lots of deep breaths as I feel like I’m unable to breathe properly.

Any thoughts about symptoms being sporadic/on and off are appreciated!

Perfectly normal for symptoms to come and go. I only had one day of sore breasts and one day of feeling queasy, then never felt sick again.
Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Sounds perfectly normal. Symptoms come and go.
I've had no symptoms whatsoever . Symptoms don't say anything about whats going on during pregnancy, and lack there off is nothing to worry about

Congratulations! Agree with the other posters, symptoms are not an indicator of a successful pregnancy in fact many people have strong symptoms before, during and after miscarriage.
I've had no symptoms at all during pregnancy and still don't at nearly 20 weeks I honestly wouldn't have had a clue I was pregnant if it wasn't IVF..and now I have a growing bump. I think it's generally expected that you will feel awful in the 1st trimester and some people do but there are also a good proportion that get nothing or have very mild symptoms.

Definitely. I had horrible nausea and sickness until 20 weeks but still had the odd day where it went away completely (terrifying me, obvs).

I am 2 weeks ahead of you and I’ve had varying symptoms since the start. First of all they are not every day, second of all they change as such. You can even have a symptom once and it doesn’t come back again ever or in like weeks. It’s all really weird.

Hi all, thank you so much for your reassuring comments! I feel the need to post here every day with all my questions, it’s so nice to feel heard. It’s also nice to actually talk about the pregnancy with others that aren’t my partner or the GP!
