Hi all, I’ve recently had my scan today and she’s told me that I’ve got 9cm cyst on my ovary, I was already aware of my cyst, I’ve had it for years now. But I’m just worried about it during pregnancy. I’m just wondering has anybody had a cyst during there’s and it’s been okay?
thanks guys ❤️

I had one in my 1st pregnancy and all was fine. I'm currently pregnant again and it has gone, no idea when it went it could be any time in the past 6 years 😅 but yes, everything was fine. Delivery was normal and didn't cause any issues 🫶

Thank you! This makes me feel abit better 😂 I’ve had my cyst for around 5 years so I don’t think it will ever go. It has now started to cause me some pain just with the pregnancy, hopefully it will just stay stable xx

Yes they found one when I was pregnant with first DC, everything was fine didn't cause any problems with pregnancy. Although they did drain if afterwards as I needed surgery for another issue.

I@cosylife hi, I’m just following up on your reply, I have recently had another scan, and it’s 10cm. The woman who did my scan wasn’t very nice and decided to tell me over and over again that my cyst is going to burst.. it’s left me feeling really worried about it now, just wondering with your cyst did your grow slowly and then just stop? Thank you! X

Hey @Kayleyanniex

Again, I really don’t know how she can tell it’s going to burst? Are you able to get a midwife and/or consultant appointment soon?

No with both pregnancies mine grew very quickly, we’re very large and I had to have a C-section to remove them at the same time. My cysts are very rare though, they’re full of a jelly like substance rather than liquid called cysteden fibroma.

Apart from having a bigger bump and more scans, my pregnancies were fine. If you search for older posts on mumsnet there’s some great success stories of people with cysts during pregnancy as well 😊

Everyone has a cyst on their ovary in early pregnancy, its basically What sustains the baby until the placenta is formed
