Pregnant on the pill/false positive from asda test?

Evening all!

So I've been on the mini pill for years now and never had any issues. I don't ever get a period and it's been great 🤣

I started dating someone, and we were super cautious and even using additional protection. My tummy has been super achey lately and I freaked myself out enough to do 2 tests. Both came back negative. Fast forward 2 days when i thought ill just get another one, however this came back positive?! Its a super faint line but sure its positive... I googled the asda pregnancy test and from the reviews there's a really high rate of false positives.

I mean what are the chances of falling pregnant on the pill whilst being extra careful?! I'd be absolutely devastated if I was. Has this happened to anyone else? Has anyone fallen pregnant on cerelle or had a false positive from the asda test? 🥺😩

Panic!

Do you have a picture?

I've had a false positive before but this was with a tesco test. Did you look at it within the time frame? It could be an evaporation line if you left it too long (happened with mine). I was also on cerelle at the time too haha.

Contraception can fail, it's not 100% effective. If you've been sick shortly after taking it, it won't be effective or being on some antibiotics. Do you take it at the same time every day? The mini pill is most effective when taken at the same time every day.

Take a test first thing in the morning, it's unlikely you'll get two false positives in a row.

Have attached a pic! I think it's got fainter since it first appeared so could it just be an evap line?

And yeah I was watching it, but the evap looked really funny and was going up in horizontal lines rather than the usual 'wavw' of colour. Was strange. Almost died when I seen the line pop up. I always take it about the same time of night and have always been so careful. I haven't been sick or had an upset tummy so if it has happened then I'll be devastated!
