Is that too high? I know it's technically just within normal range but it seems high. Just wondering if anyone else had babies at this stage whose heart rates were at the top of the range?

If baby is having a good wriggle then yes definitely normal.

I'd like to see it settle down eventually though.

Where did you get those figures and what did your midwife say?

Preterm babies always have a higher HR and it gradually reduces closer to term. Absolutely perfect don't even give it a second thought😊

Thanks for your replies. I had to have an ultrasound done for suspected gallbladder issues and while there the sonographer saw the baby's heartbeat for me...I was surprised it was so high but I guess she could have been moved about by the ultrasound exam. I'd had a midwife appointment earlier in the day and her heartbeat was 152 then which I also thought was high. No one commented it as bad though, just said what pp said about movement. Hopefully I'm overthinking it!
