Thank you @40andhopeful it's usually been around this week I've MC so I'm hoping to get another week out the way then I may just start to relax a little. This TTC and pregnancy journey is a fucker that's for sure!

@Kimbychick it will be your turn soon, just keep on trying. For info.. we did it 3 days before ovulation then the day of ovulation this time and not barely a thing either side of that for at least a week. I'm sure we'll have tried that exact system in the previous 1867 million months but this time it just worked for us (both bed time and didn't get up to wipe - gross I know 🤦🏼‍♀️) xx

@MudandMoet thanks for the advice 😘. That's amazing you only did it twice over the fertile period and got lucky. Who cares if its gross, I do the same. I'm desperate 😂. Congratulations. I hope you feel ok. I'm 7dpo so still a few long days to wait and wonder 🙄🩷xx

I had lots of miscarriages and then went on to adopt a beautiful baby but then at 40 found out I was pregnant and went full term. Gorgeous pregnancy, delivery and baby and then did it all again when I was 45 and that was all just as amazing. Good luck to you all.

MudandMoet · 26/01/2024 16:48

@Kimbychick this waiting time you're in now is the worst! Minutes feel like days!! I have everything crossed for you ❤️

@mylifeisprettygood gorgeous inspiring story, thanks for sharing 🥰

I'm adding myself into here. Have two already, had a CP in the summer and have now just found out I'm pregnant. Whilst it's wanted and kinda planned, we're both a bit startled and now wondering about all the logistics and having a low level panic.

My OH is also not really asking much or thinking about it too heavily as I do t think it's real and as we had a loss recently, I think he's kinda scared. He also doesn't have the low level nausea and painful boobs, so I guess it's less real.

I keep thinking if I get to 6 weeks, or 9 weeks or 12 weeks I'll stop worrying. But I doubt it.

Hi op - I’m 44 and hopeful but in over a year there is no sign sadly. You mentioned implantation bleeding? Was it like brown discharge or brown liquidy blood?

McConkeysPlate · 06/05/2024 15:03

Hello, is there a group for older women please? I have tried searching but not getting far. I am 47!

I know this is an old post but just wanted to ask - do you think adopting your baby helped ease a lot of the stress of ttc so it enabled you to conceive? You have given me hope, I lost a baby at 19 weeks last year at age 37, been trying again ever since and it's just not happening. My partner is open to adoption so I think we may go down that path but I know my luck and I feel I'd get pregnant finally when we do! I wonder how that is, navigating motherhood with a non biological and then biological child? Sorry for the long post, I'm just very interested x

Rumblytumblytea · 19/11/2024 15:47

So thrilled for you OP, congrats!!

mylifeisprettygood · 19/11/2024 18:43

Pennyroses
I adopted due to the miscarriages and I have pcos plus being adopted myself it was always a no brainer. I then divorced that ex and met my dh and conceived naturally and unexpectedly.
There is quite an age gap between my dc but they are all my dc and they all get along (mostly) amazingly. My youngest is in junior school, my middle is in high school and my eldest has just finished university.
I am so sorry for your loss and can't imagine how hard that has been to navigate. Be kind to yourself and look at options. In adopting there were some hard hoops to jump through but the dc I have now because of it was so worth it.

Pennyroses · 19/11/2024 19:11

@mylifeisprettygood thankyou so much for responding 😊 that's lovely, I'm glad it all worked out so well for you! I'm really coming round to the idea of adopting, I do understand it's a lengthy process though. And thankyou for your kind words, it'll be a year on Friday since I lost my baby, it was a little girl 🩷 so I'm going to try and take it easy and try to remain hopeful that we will get our baby eventually 🤞 thanks again x
