Signs of labour?!

Hi! Would love to hear what other people’s first signs of labour happening were…

Im 37w on my second baby. First was induced after 40w with zero signs of labour. This one’s entirely different! Head was confirmed engaged last week & bump has dropped. Lots of movement to the cervix (ow), loads of Braxton hicks over the last few days. Last night I woke up with contractions that started 5mins apart (!!) and petered out after 3hrs. Fairly certain I’ve been losing bits of mucus plug over the last few weeks & think I lost most of it today.

google says that it still could be weeks! Would love to hear if this sounds familiar to anyone?! The 3 hours of contractions last night were a killer… thought things were really kicking off!

I had latent labour for a week before labour properly started - symptoms were very similar to yours! Braxton hicks every evening for two hours, I remember timing them haha. Sounds like you're close, hope things get moving for you soon 🤞

It can be so hard to tell and from my experience try to only get excited once something really obvious happens such as waters breaking or definite regular contractions!

I had that very engaged head right in my vag feeling with my first those final weeks but absolutely nothing happened, went overdue and ended up having waters broken! With my second waters broke at 39 weeks on their own in the kitchen whilst making eggs! Had absolutely no signs of labour up until that point and was expecting to go over!

Unfortunately I had this with my second, from 39+6 I had a few hours in the evening of contractions that were not super intense but more than braxton hicks 5 mins apart. This happened every couple of days until she was born at 41+2. Hopefully for you this will be different! With my first I had no signs until my waters broke at 40+3 and contractions started pretty soon after.
