So, I am 38 weeks pregnant and 39 weeks it 2 days and I have seen loads of sites saying that if you have diarrhea close to your due date then you will probably go into labour 24-48 hours after. I haven’t had diarrhea but I have had a really loose stool (don’t know if it’s the same sort of thing). I just don’t know if the same rule applies to what I’ve experienced. Has anyone else just had a one off loose stool and then gone into labour 24-48 hours after? Thank you

I did have diarrhoea but that was combined with tightenings and losing my mucous plug. I was 37 weeks.

Loose stools is common towards the end but not necessarily a sign you will go into labour in the next few days. Could be another few weeks.
