Due baby boy number 2 in February. Today at a class with my toddler one of the mums asked me whether I knew what I was having and I said yes a boy. She then went ANOTHER BOY tutted rolled her eyes and said you’re going to be shattered!

Literally just wanted to burst out crying there and then. Why do people react like this about second boys??

I have boy girl twins - my boy is physically exhausting in that he's so so physical and full of energy and on the go whereas my girl is mentally exhausting with the terrible twos/threenager attitude. I'd have loved to have had more boys!

Two boys here. They are lovely and adore each other. But there are lots of comments when I'm out with both of them and it is beyond irritating. Everyone assumes I'll have another to have a girl. I honestly think it's so so rude. I'd never think to comment!!

Congratulations OP, fun times ahead for you alert⚠️⚠️⚠️

I have several DS and youngest is 7yo later this year so I don't get the "are you having any more?" question anymore. It's lovely. Chaotic at times but my goodness it's a lot of fun!

Team children, boy or girl 🎉

Congratulations!
I have two of each and they can all be equally dreadful at times but the good genuinely outweighs the shenanigans. Enjoy!

I have 2 boys and they couldn’t be more different. One is a firecracker the other is a bookworm who is quiet and calm and gentle.

You’ll have lots of negativity about boys I’m afraid - they are definitely seen as the booby prize nowadays. I’ve learnt to shrug it off as there’s nothing I can do about it.

When I had my second son, I will never forget a man nodding towards the pram and saying 'baby sister for your lad?' and I said 'no, a baby brother' and he said 'oh never mind, better luck next time eh?' I was absolutely gobsmacked. Until that point, I hadn't even considered that having two boys was anything other than wonderful.

People say stupid hurtful things.
