Hello. Can I ask what your combined test results were especially if you are over 35?

I can't remember what it was with my first 4 years ago.

My results came back as low vhance. All three are 1 in 5000. Which I know is a very small risk.
But if I understand correctly thr scale goes all the way to 1 in 100,000

I'm 36 and just got 1/5000 also. My understanding is that this is pretty great for our age x

Thank you @hopingfor23 . That's reassuring

Interesting thread, I’ll be keen to see others’. I’m 38 and wondering what to expect (only 9 weeks currently). I was 34 with DC1 and don’t remember the results but certainly wasn’t worried about any of them. Expecting this time round it might be a bit more to think about.

39 and 1/5,000. All the individual results were low for someone much younger but its the age factor that can bump it up.

Nocoffeenotalkie · 20/01/2024 21:41

How did it take for you to receive your results? I had my scan (good NT measurement) and they took my blood last Friday. I'm 41 so the midwife mentioned quite a few times that my age would be a big factor 😣
Feel like I'm on hot coals waiting for this letter!

FigandHoney · 20/01/2024 21:46

@Nocoffeenotalkie i had my test last Friday on received the results yesterday. So a week. They did say it takes a couple of weeks so ehich faster than expected

@treehousethunderstorm interesting that you got more detailed information. I just got those 2 numbers 1 in 5000 for down syndrom and 1 in 5000 for Edwards and patau

36 here and also 1 in 5000.
With my other DC it was 1 in 100,000.
When I spoke to midwife they said age is a big factor and the results were good.

I'm waiting in mine now. Was told a week but probably longer due to bank holiday. I didn't realise at 35+ your results could be that good. Have been preparing myself for something in the 100s.

cosylife · 05/04/2024 07:46

Mine was the week before my 35th birthday and I got 1 in 8,400

QueSyrahSyrah · 05/04/2024 07:50

I'm 40 and got 1 in 4500 (approx, can't remember the exact figure) for Downs Syndrome and one in 10,000 for the others.

I was very happy with that as at my age I was expecting much much lower numbers.

Sara1988 · 05/04/2024 10:47

I got mine today. 1 in 5000. Shaking and crying with relief. Had prepared myself for much lower as everyone is constantly reminding you of the 'cliff drop' in fertility after 35.

Nocoffeenotalkie · 05/04/2024 14:52

I'm 41 (42 when baby arrives) mine were 1 in 5000 for Edwards etc and 1 in 470 for DS. Classed as very low/low risk for my age. No further tests required.

Goodgollydolly · 05/04/2024 17:54

I’m 38 and my Downs screening was 1 in 869 and Edward’s was 1 in 5000, says on the letter low risk. 🙂
