Sorry if this is TMI! I am about 5/6 weeks and have noticed lighter coloured poo - is this normal in early pregnancy? Worried it’s a bad sign I’m not absorbing nutrients properly

How pale is pale to you?
6 and 7 can be normal, depending on your diet. More dairy can make it lighter.
14,15,16 can be normal aswell if you’ve eaten beetroot or something with red food dye.

the really yellowish ones can be a sign of intolerance, infection, issue of pancreas, but not always limited to.
ive had before really light brown poop without having an infection or issue with pancreas. Since our bodies are basically driven by hormones I do believe hormonal changes can impact the poop aswell. And obviously pregnancy causes a lot of hormonal change.

if you don’t have pancreatic cancer the odds of getting a gray poo is unlikely

if you ask if it’s common for poop to become lighter in colour in early pregnancy I don’t think so, atleast they don’t write about it. And it did not happen to me. But it is normal to have constipation due to the progestorone.

Mine has changed to an odd colour but I have put it down to the pregnacare liquid I’m taking every night.
