Hi everyone, I have had my 12 week scan yesterday and all was totally fine with the baby and the sonographer had no concerns as everything is how it should be.
However, during my scan, when she was checking my ovaries, she noticed a black patch/possible small bleed or said it could be a second but empty sac or maybe some sort of cyst. She sent my scan pictures through to consultant who has also said that they reckon it could just be an empty sac and baby was maybe meant to be a twin but the second baby just didn't develop, but they want to re scan me next Thursday to try and investigate as to what it could be.
I am not overly concerned just now or worried as they did say that everything is totally fine and how it should be with the baby and that is the main thing, but I just wondered if anyone else has experienced anything like this at their 12 week scan before and what your outcome was?
This is my third pregnancy and I never had anything like this with my previous two so it is all very new to me.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
