swelling in fingers

so I woke up today and I had slept on my right hand it was completely dead when I woke up and could see marks on it where I had clearly laid on it

but after it came round it was swollen slightly not massively like omg my fingers are so swollen but I could feel it was swollen when clenching my hand and when comparing to other fingers so its only my fingers slightly swollen

I cant really put my ring from other hand on it like I nroamlly can and its still a bit swollen but not as bad

I called my doctor and asked to talk to midwife she said it could just be water retention and should only worry if in both hands and feet and face.

has anyone experienced this ?

How many weeks pregnant are you?

I'm surprised your mw hasn't had you in to get your blood pressure checked. If you are still experiencing swelling tomorrow you should call again.

im 18 weeks 3 days today she didnt seem worried at all

18 weeks - fair enough maybe she was right. I would still call again tomorrow though if the swelling doesn't go down.

yeah she didnt seem worried just said if not in both hands or feet and its not in feet 100% my other hand is fine I think but now I just thinking is it swollen or not because now im paranoid
but she said call the number on front of my notes if gets worse which I def will if it does!
I mean have people had swelling before in one hand and been normal ?

I know it was a week ago but my bp was check then and my urine all was fine
