Pregnancy after a surgical termination

6 years ago I has a surgical termination at 12 weeks with BPAS. It's a very upsetting topic for myself and although healed now I don't like to discuss it. However fast forward I am now 10 weeks pregnant and terrified this will effect my current pregnancy by causing an incompetent cervix.

I have shared these concerns with my midwife but not had a real answer to this so looking for some reassurance or past experiences.

Everything will be on record so if anything flags up as being at risk you will be sent for scans on your cervix. This is usually done at around 16 weeks

IIRC a surgical termination is the same procedure as a surgical miscarriage - thousands of women have both procedures and go on to have healthy pregnancies. I conceived the month after my surgical miscarriage and had no problems at all, and no one ever told me I was at risk for anything. Flowers
