I had Covid in early pregnancy with my third, I was very unwell and in bed with a very high fever for a few days. I honestly thought the baby wouldn't survive but he's two months old yesterday

Take regular paracetamol, it's safe in pregnancy and should hopefully help lower your temperature.

I had COVID in the first 6 weeks and then flu abit later on. Both gave me high temps. Take regular paracetamol and drink lots of water, try and keep yourself cool where possible. I'm 28+2 now, all fine x

Hi!
im in the same situation as you, high temp/fever & on antibiotics. Started around 3-4weeks pregnant and I’m just so worried. Google is horrible. So hoping for some positive feedback too x

Hi @Hopeful2017 @JG34 I am going through this anxiety of a first trimester fever now. Do either of you have an update from your scans?

Hey, I’m in a similar boat with fever today, I am 7 weeks today. I don’t suppose anyone has an update with their situation? @Susanne2@Hopeful2017@JG34

Any updates from anyone who had a high temp?
i’m 4 weeks and a few days, went to bed last night with body aches all over, felt fine all day, now aching muscles again today, temp of 37.4. Midwife said this morning it could be my body fighting an infection, or the high levels of HCG flooding through my system, either way, she didn’t seem to phased and said unless I was bleeding not to worry, so I’m frantically trying not to panic and just drinking plenty of water and taking paracetamol!

I have posted on this thread previously, I was so unwell with covid during my pregnancy, the most unwell I've ever been, temp over 40' and ill in bed for days, I was around 10 weeks pregnant I think. I thought for sure the baby wouldn't survive, but as it happens he was fine, he's now 7 months old and totally fat and gorgeous and currently sleeping after having a picnic earlier in the park :)

Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t logged on here in a little period of time! I’m 16+4 now, I had a gender reveal scan yesterday. Both my scans so far have shown everything as normal. I’m having a baby boy 😊 Not had my full abnormality scan yet but I’m not feeling the anxiety anymore which I had when I first posted here.

I found something else to be anxious about since then 😂 what’s the moral? We all want perfect, healthy babies and it’s normal to stress. So many mums go through fevers or other mishaps in pregnancy that the internet will tell us is grave cause for concern.

The vast, vast, VAST majority of them go on to have healthy pregnancies. You can’t go off studies on the internet.

You keep digging through google and you will never find the answer to calm you down as you are already anxious and your mind will pick up on the facts to fuel your anxious thoughts. That’s how it works for me anyway!!!

Get offline and get excited, it’s too easy to waste this precious time of pregnancy with unfounded anxious thoughts 😘 your baby is going to be perfect.
