Hi all

Is it too early to get heartburn at four/five weeks pregnant?

I’m only five weeks today but the past few weeks I have had the most unbearable, constant heartburn ever in my chest and throat.

I’ve actually done a previous post re omeprezole but I’ve stopped taking that until I get the green light from midwife/doctor.

Literally my diet is starting to consist of only cucumber and gaviscon which is not helping and is definitely not a healthy pregnancy diet!

I’m the least dramatic person when it comes to health but oh my god I have spent the past few days sobbing at this.

I’m waiting on a gp call on Monday but in the meantime has anyone got any ideas on how to help and if it’s actually the pregnancy??

@G1994 i had heartburn at the beginning on my pregnancy with my twins then it went away and came back with vengeance towards the end

It was the first sign with all of my pregnancies, even before I tested I knew because of the heartburn (my first ended in miscarriage but when I went on to have my two children it was the same)

Mine was full on from the offset this pregnancy. Settled a bit second trimester but it is awful again in third 😆

I had heartburn before a positive pregnancy test in both my pregnancies, definitely not too early! X

@G1994 love heart sweets helped me in my previous pregnancies and I lived on milk to the point I took a carton into hospital with me lol x
