8 weeks- line on test fainter

Hi, i am 8 weeks pregnant and took another test this morning, and my positive line was fainter than it was 2/3 weeks ago. I took another test this evening, and the same positive line but fainter than it has been in previous weeks.
No bleeding at all.
I have my first appointment with midwife on Thursday, so not much I can do really until then. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what the outcome was?
Reading online it appears as though it may be miscarriage.

I tried asking for an early scan and baso got refused because I'm not bleeding, even though I went through a three month misscarriage last year and didn't bleed through that it's crazy
