How are MMCs accounted for in MC stats?

I'm wondering if MMCs are counted as of when the baby stopped growing, or when the MC was discovered?

For example, if the baby stopped growing at 6wks and it was discovered at an early private scan at 9wks, followed by medical management at 10wks, is that recorded as a 6wk miscarriage, 9wks or 10?

So basically if you were someone reading the stats for risk of miscarriage at 8wks - assuming you haven't physically miscarried, but also haven't had a scan - would those stats include the above example, or not?

I believe in that example it would count as a miscarriage at 6 weeks in your doctor's eyes for future pregnancies etc.
I had a mmc at 14 weeks last year. With my current pregnancy I was sent to consultant care as cut off for that is miscarriage at 13 weeks or after. The consultant didn't actually need to see me, as the miscarriage was actually an 11 weeks miscarriage, my body just hadn't removed the pregnancy itself. They sent me as precaution because it confused the midwife too! But consultant and doctor said it wasn't needed, they saw me anyway seeing as I was booked in but then discharged me from their care x

Hi. I’ve gone through surgery procedure today for MMC. I was 9 weeks 4 days. Baby stopped at 8weeks 3days. Clinic paper statues. Missed miscarriage 9weeks 4 days gestation. So will go with that.
