Hi. I’m on baby2, pp bleeding was not as heavy this time round. First few days reallly heavy and then it slowed down to light red blood/brownish too. readmitted to hospital 2 weeks pp due to severe pain for pancreatitis and kidney infections(not related) but during this time, my bleeding had completely stopped during my stay in hospital (5days). After coming home, I got light blood (light red) and then it stopped for a few days.
On Sunday; I leaked and had bright red blood with clots. It has been extremely heavy since to the point Iv gone through two packets of pads in a day and half! I’m getting small clots on every pad, toilet is full of blood when I go! Am I still bleeding post partum or is this my period?

any help would be so appreciated xx

I would get back in touch with the hospital/Midwife/Gp, sounds quite heavy.
How many days did it stop for?
To have your period you need to ovulate first, then around 12-14 days...it seems too soon to me.

First time it stopped for around 5-6 days and then I had light red blood which turned brownish and it stopped for another 3/4 days and then I got this really heavy flow.

I dont think is your period, still bleeding postpartum; if heavy pls get checked up.

It’s quite common for pp bleeding to stop and start for a few weeks. You’re still under midwife care so get in touch with them as it seems quite excessive.
