Hello. I wondering if anyone has had the same issue. I have what they say “ orange peel breast “ ( photo attached ) I have this on both breasts but one is worse than the other. My boobs have grew during pregnancy and I have always been big breasted but I didn’t have any concerns until I have googled and everything says breast cancer. I called the DR in tears but they can’t help tonight and to call back tomorrow. Anyone else experience this?

Didn’t want to read and run. It could very much be to do with the rapid growth and hormones. You’re doing the right thing by being checked over, just in case.
Have you got a walk in Center you could go to if it’s playing on your mind?

The fact that this is in both breasts is hugely reassuring, the chances of having spontaneous breast cancer simultaneously in a young woman must be pretty much close to zero. Add this together with the breast changes associated with pregnancy and I suspect there lies your answer. Definitely discuss with a midwife or Dr but please do not stress.

As previous poster said, I once had an issue with leaking nipples (wasn't pregnant at the time) and the fact it was both breasts not just one, massively reassured the doctor that it was very unlikely to be cancer. fingers crossed for you that it's all just rapid changes and hormones! X

Thank you everyone, I know you shouldn’t Google but I was shocked to see what I was reading I thought it would come up hormones. Feeling embarrassed as I called the DRs in tears. I have calmed myself down and will call in the morning. Thanks everyone for messaging

Hi I got this at the start of my pregnancy also my skin on one breast was really thick it lasted for a few months but the orange peel dimples have gone now (im 35 weeks) I was worried but just put it down to pregnancy, even though I didn't get this in my first pregnancy! My breasts have been really painful since the day I found out I was pregnant this time but I think it's just down to different amounts of hormones that women produce. If you have been to the gp it will be interesting to know what they say thanks 😊

It looks like the start of mastitis. I have the non lactational version.

I usually get fever and chills, boob feels hot, and painful when brushed past.

Redheadx · 10/01/2024 20:01

@Grotbag81 oh this is interesting as last night it felt hot and I had the full fever shakes I was in bed for 7pm and have been sick all day! I thought it was just pregnancy

@babyk1987 yes I plan on getting it checked out for peace of mind but I Will absolutely keep you all informed so I can help others

All the best🤞

Turbulent1 · 11/01/2024 05:52

For what it's worth I just googled and pregnancy can cause this, called it peau'd orange

Redheadx · 11/01/2024 10:26

@Turbulent1 I was speaking with my sister who has had two babies and she told me she always gets this! She told me to google pregnancy changes in boobs and then it brings up the same results you have seen! I think it tends to be how you phrase google depends on the results x

Hello, I am currently 25 weeks and have exactly this on both breasts, exactly as your photo! Did you go to your GP still?
googling it is terrifying…

Redheadx · 14/01/2024 15:27

@daisyduck2 I have an appointment this week, I will keep you posted! Lots of people who I speak to who have been pregnant told me they got this at one stage or another so trying not to worry x

Hi everyone, update I seen GP today nothing to be concerned about told me it’s hormones and my boobs stretching very common in bigger breasted woman, to keep an eye on any changes but nothing to worry about.
