28 weeks being sent for growth scan! Questions

So I have a few questions. Had my 28 week midwife appointment today and am being sent for a growth scan based on the fundal height measurement which was 26.

The hospital called before and because they can’t fit me in for a growth scan until next week they have asked me to go in for ctg monitoring on Friday. Is this standard procedure? I have no concerns re amount of movements or anything like that.

She didn’t really explain it very well to me.
This baby was conceived via ivf and based on my ivf dates my due date would be 4 April. This was changed to 1 April at the 12 week scan based on measurements then.

Would the fact they’ve changed my due date have an affect on things? Can I ask them to change it back to the original date? I don’t want to be sent for intervention based on a due date I know is wrong.

I’m quite an anxious person so I’m worried now even though I know growth scans are fairly common. I thought my bump was quite big and I actually thought I was gonna be sent for a scan for the opposite reason!!

My bump measured behind the entire way through my pregnancy with my son, I got sent for growth scans a lot. Once scanned, he always measured ahead of his due date and was born at 38 weeks! He just hid himself away in there sometimes so the bump never was quite as big as they expected. Try not to worry and just let them keep an eye on baby x

Don’t worry. The guideline says you should be offered a scan within 48 hours, so if they can’t accommodate that, they’re providing the monitoring instead while you wait for the scan. It’s just a blanket rule/ precaution, it doesn’t mean there is an anything wrong.

In both my pregnancies I’ve been sent for multiple scans because my bump has always been really small. Scans said the baby was really big despite the small bump!

Try not to worry about the due date change, 3 days won’t make much difference.
