1st scan offered at 17 weeks - is this too late?

Hi!
8+5 weeks pregnant and just had my 1st booking in appointment.
I previously had a MC at 6 weeks and this is my 2nd pregnancy. Am 40 years old.
Now coming home, I realize the midwife booked my first scan/ultrasound (or...2nd appointment) at 17 weeks only.
Is this normal? Should I not have an earlier scan? Sorry, all is so new to me and quietly overwhelming as I am going through this.
She did say she would try to get an earlier appointment given my history, but sitting there, I thought she meant earlier as in 'before 12 weeks'.
Did anybody have no scan in the 1st trimester?
Thx!

Scan appointment isn't with midwife, that will be your 16 week appointment. Scan should be booked at hospital

Are you sure it’s your scan she’s booked for 17 weeks? Because that’s usually about the time of the second midwife appointment and the scan letters for 12 week scan are sent out by a different department

You are missing the window for the first screening, so I would call and ask if I were you (I am assuming that you aren’t having NIPT).
