Hi 👋🏻 I posted a couple of weeks ago as I sadly lost my baby girl at 20 weeks (TFMR). At the moment we’re obviously still grieving as it’s still so raw. But of course my mind is going & I have a few questions. Not planning on any of these yet, but I’m just wondering…
▫️When is it safe to start having sex again?
▫️When can we start trying again?
▫️How long before cycle/periods go back to normal?
I know things can vary person to person. Thank you 💔🙏🏻🥹

Hey @NSalvador91 So so sorry for your loss, that must have been incredibly difficult, sending lots of love. There is a TTC after TFMR thread here which is really supportive :)

I had a TFMR late May 2023. I was told by the consultant it's safe to have sex again as soon as you are ready / any bleeding stops - we waited a couple of weeks, but I had a surgical termination so very little bleeding etc.

She said to wait until you get your first period before TTC, but I think you can start straight away if you want to - that's just so that dating is easier if you do get pregnant straight away.

My cycle took 6/7 weeks to restart.

What I would say is try to give yourself time and not expect too much from your body too soon. You've been through so much physically and mentally so whilst the need for a new pregnancy can feel urgent (it did for me!), try not to put pressure on yourself❤

Anyone else on here in the same situation? Would be nice to chat to others who understand.
