Pay dispute—legal advice

Hi, just checking I know about SMP vs normal maternity pay qualifiers.

I joined current organisation when just pregnant. Part of their T&Cs sent with contract stated explicitly that employees get maternity pay “after 6 months of continuous employment”. No more detail other than ££ of pay.

HR have turned around and said “no you get maternity pay after working for 6 months prior to the 15th week before Estimated Delivery Date” this is not what the T&Cs state. So saying I don’t get anything. I know what they’re talking about is the same standard qualifier for SMP.

I have reached out to Pregnant then Screwed and Maternity Action but cannot get through. I have sat on hold every night and not got through. Does anyone legal know if I have a case to dispute this?
