How long did your miscarriage last?

Been bleeding heavily for 2 weeks and miscarried on Friday just gone with tissue and cramps. Heavily bleeding again and more tissue today. Pregnancy test is still 3+ on digital. How long did your miscarriages last?

Sorry to hear this. 😞 both my miscarriages were surgically managed and bleeding was minimal but my pregnancy tests were super strong for weeks after. It took 10 weeks to get a negative test after the first one and about 8 weeks for the second. Take care xx

I miscarried at 16 weeks at home. I had pains in my stomach all afternoon and went to lie down to rest. I started bleeding in the evening and started having contractions in the night. I lost my baby about 5 am and the blood was literally gushing out of me. I went to the hospital they gave me an injection and put me on a drip. I was still bleeding heavily. They gave me another injection about 11am. I went home still bleeding but now like period. Bleeding stopped 2 days later.

Sorry for your loss. Were you advised to contact EPU if still testing positive after 3 weeks? Even if not, I would suggest you do so.

With my last miscarriage I bled for 2 weeks . I was only 4.5 weeks

Sorry your going through this. I had a mmc. But was still testing positive and bleeding 2 weeks after my mc. I had remaining tissue that needed removing. I was bleeding for about 5 weeks in total.

I think it’s worthwhile you contacting your early pregnancy unit. They can check there is nothing blocking your cervix and that your HCG is declining (it could take weeks to reduce fully). They might (or might not) speak to you about medical management.

I am so sorry you are going through this, I had started brown spotting at 8 weeks, had a scan that confirmed no heartbeat at 9.5 weeks and suddenly bleeding got red and heavier, and then on the day I should have been 10 weeks I had the full miscarriage -awful cramping and pain and bleeding (akin to labour really other than bleeding). That was like Day 1 of a period then, I had medium to heavy bleeding for 4-5 days after and ovulated a very average Cycle Day 17 for me (if miscarriage was Day 1).

Thanks everyone had a scan today and it’s all gone..I’m still bleeding a lot though? Just want to move on now xx

Meant to say it took approximately 10 days from the miscarriage for my HCG to return to 0.

I’ve lost my precious baby today 💔

Friday I had an early viability scan and she couldn’t find an embryo in the womb but said an internal wouldn’t show much more.
I had pains Saturday so went to A&E and had bloods done. They come back and my HCG levels were not as high as they should be at this many weeks (I was 6 weeks 1 day)

this morning (6 weeks 4 days) I started bleeding heavily. I rang 2 of my local EPU’s and both can’t see me till tomorrow morning.
I am still bleeding now with stomach and back pains. I know I’m having a miscarriage- it’s my first one - im absolutely devastated.

sorry to ramble on. I don’t really know what I am expecting out of this. Just need to write it down and vent 💔

my appointment is 8.30am. I am scared , I don’t even know what to say or what they will do. I feel there is no point in even going in. All the midwives spoke to me so heartlessly on the phone today. Just feel so alone xx

I’m so sorry. It’s such an awful experience. I’m pleased it’s not been any longer for you, I’ve been told it’s much better not requiring the medication. You might bleed for another while and then it should settle down. Make sure to rest, get some tlc and take one day at a time 💗✨ xxx
