Positive test 9/10 days before period!!!

Hi guys, can anyone shed some light on what is going on please? Early ovulation?

I'm due my period in 5 days today, this is the earliest I should have tested positive according to the early response tests ( 5 days before expected period,6 days before missed period) but I got my definite positive on the second of January - 9 days before my missed period, and in actual fact I got a VVFL on the 31st ( tested as having drinks for new year 😏) but wrote it off as an indent because it was SO faint and my hubby couldn't even see it 😅 so that would have been 11 days before my period is due.

I rang for an early placement scan for 6 weeks and the lady on the phone just kept saying wow that's early, wow, you shouldn't even be positive yet etc etc. Which I know 😅 my lmp was 13th December. I tested positive 18 days from then and apparently at 5dpo according to my app which is impossible. Just trying to get my head around what's going on , early ovulation? Someone I know suggested twins 😬

I tracked my ovulation dates when TTC and was really upset that I would be away from DH on all of my fertile days one month. We had sex 2 days before the beginning of what I believed to be my fertile period so I gave up hope on that month. But of course I tested early anyway and there was a very light line that DH couldn’t see and thought I was being ridiculous. That little invisible line is now 2 years old. I don’t have an explanation really other than early ovulation- I had pretty regular cycles but it was our 2nd month of TTC and maybe my brain tricked my body into it or something.

How early was it that you got your positive? Its winding me up that everyone keeps saying its impossible when clearly here I am pregnant 🤣

Why did you test so early?
I only have tested after I'd missed the first day of my period at the earliest.

I can’t remember exactly.. I do know it was way before I would expect to see anything so possibly around 5 days before period was due. It was such a faint line I almost didn’t believe it myself

Because i was going to be drinking ( xmas/new year time!) Took another one on the second because I couldn't shake the feeling that the vvfl.on the 31st was actually a positive! Also I has been feeling nausea since the 31st. I am SO nauseous today 😫

Would definitely be early ovulation. You ovulate around 14 days tbefore your period give or take a day or so. Getting a positive at 5dpo is impossible, but ovulating early isn’t all that unusual. If you hadn’t got pregnant then your period would probably have been early. You may find your dating scan is slightly further along than lmp

That or make sure you haven't accidentally bought ovulation tests ahah

Did you use ovulation tests? If using an app it'll just be a guess (usually guesses day 14 for everyone!) but of course people ovulate earlier or later than that.

Hahaha nope they're definitely pregnancy ones and I've a digital that says pregnant haha

Typically this is the month I decided to take a break from tracking Lh and BBT 🤣 I usually ovulate day 14 but this month had EWCM day 6/7/8 so maybe ovumated day 9?! I'm.not sure haha that seems insanely early

Thanks, that's what I thought ! I think I may be about 5/6 days further along than my.lmp says
