Stomach pains at 8 weeks pregnant

Hi all, my wife is 8 weeks pregnant. Had a viability scan on Friday just gone and all was good, nice little heartbeat and measuring 1 day behind at 7weeks 3 days at the time. Last night my wife started with some pain on her lower left abdomen and around her belly button, she said on a scale of 1-10 the pain was a 3 so not too bad, she said it was like a sharp pain. It went on throughout the night and she woke up with the same pain this morning, she’s had a bowel movement and been quite gassy (the gas is very normal right now for her) and had some food and it seems to have subsided but we can’t help but worry as she suffered a miscarriage in May and scared it will happen again. Is this sounding pain a normal occurrence at this stage of pregnancy. Thanks in advance !

I've had so many cramps, pains and twinges ect . I also had a viability scan at 7 weeks and during that week had really severe cramping. Ive had a previous miscarriage too and was convinced something was wrong. My last scan was at 10 weeks and baby was fine. I think its completely normal to experience stomach pain in pregnancy. It sounds like normal stretching pain as the uterus is growing rapidly

Thanks so much for your message! That gives me hope that all is ok. I'm living on my nerves at the moment just because of our past and I just can't seem to settle and stop reading into every little thing.

I had multiple twinges and cramps for the first 10 weeks, has since been a bit more like ligament pain, but I think it's very normal.

Hi @MamaNel , did everything turn out okay with the pregnancy? I'm experiencing some slight twinges at 8 weeks now that feel different to the twinges/cramps I felt before so I was wondering how ye got on
