When did you start buying bigger items?

I'm not due until early June but in the interests of saving money we're planning to try and buy most big items from marketplace (except the car seat of course) or in the sales.

At the moment there's a Mamas & Papas pushchair with all the accessories including carrycot for £200 on our local marketplace that looks to be in great condition, but there's a little niggle in the back of my head that it's too soon to buy things like that...

When did you start buying bigger ticket things for your baby?

We’re only getting car seat and cot until they’re here. I’m too paranoid to get more than the absolute essentials.

If you are buying new, I would suggest putting money aside until nearer the time. If it's second hand then any time after 20 week scan?
