I ate chorizo, I'm 20 weeks pregnant. My husband cooked it in a chicken pasta dish so it got steaming hot alongside the chicken... so hot.

I've just seen there's a list of prohibited foods. Oops and chorizo is on there.....

What's the risks to baby?

It's fine

It's not a concern, calm down

It’s cold cured meats that carry a listeria risk. Cooked chorizo will be fine.

FWIW I ate a good few platters of cold prosciutto and salami when pregnant as I had no idea. The risk is very small when raw.

Irs fine if you've cooked it .
It's different if your eating it cold from a deli counter ect

AndrewGarfieldsLaptop · 30/12/2023 20:12

It's absolutely fine.

You can have cooked chorizo. Look at the NHS guidelines.

The NHS advice is to be careful (not avoid) cold cured meat products like chorizo. You had it hot. Not an issue at all.
