Consultant app - what to expect?

Hi all,

As the title suggests - I am due an appointment with a consultant this coming week due to previous late loss.

Just wondering if anyone has had anything similiar - what does it involve? Is it just a chat, do you have a scan?

I am just trying to prepare.

I'm so sorry for your late loss.

I had consultant appointments for other reasons, but at mine I never saw the actual consultant it was always a Registrar or another level of more junior doctor. They had a chat, usually did a quick scan to measure cord blood flow and a quick check of the baby's head/abdomen measurements and that was it. I also discussed arranging an elective section at later appointments
