Hello all. Now before I start I have 2 other children but they was both on the prep machine so I never made a bottle before to know this. I cannot understand how you do night feeds etc? I've heard you can make up the bottles boiling water cool it down put it in the fridge and do a hot shot from a flask but how do you keep the hot water in a flash at 70 degrees all night?? It's so confusing to me. I decided not to do the prep machine as both my kids have has tummy problems wand I realised a lot of people say the same thing with the prep I don't know what to do this time around it's been 7 years since my last child so yeah I'm a little confused lol!

@Stacii , I've read alot about them and seen a lot of people saying they didn't measure right and they broke not long after, someone said it Burnt there babies mouth because it said it was ok to drink but wasn't so I decided against them, I'm going to combi feed

Oh that's good to know I will have a look into them. Tbh I would always check the temperature on my wrist before feeding anyway so I don't think we will need to worry about burning baby but it's good to know there are some reviews and experiences out there as they weren't around 4 years ago when I had my son, only the perfect prep.

I think combi feeding is a great idea though, baby will get antibodies and everything good from breast feeding. I breast fed my first and loved it, it was so easy. But I'm not able to now unfortunately

@Stacii , yes there was a lot of people saying they malfunctioned a lot with the temp etc. but yes this will be my first time breastfeeding/combi. I've always used the prep but found a lot of problems with tummy issues etc so won't be using that again.

I take up two thermos flasks, and bottles which contain the right amount of powder.

One thermos contains hot boiling water. The other contains fridge water (pre-boiled).

I have a clear plastic cup that has marking with a sharpie of half the feed I am making.

When baby wakes up, I measure hot water with the plastic cup and place in bottle and close and shake. And then measure out the fridge cold water and place into hot water

It sounds a bit long but it's super easy once you get used to it

I also have the prep but I'm scared to use it after health visitor said 4 of her babies were sick with it currently in hospital..
