I'm 38+3 and was sure this one would be early. Am sooooo bored of waiting now.

Me!!!
I'm officially the most pregnant I've ever been. My firstborn arrived at 38+0 .
I'm currently 38+2 with no2 and no signs of anything.

Ttcdcno1 · 25/12/2023 20:42

38+1 and I am so fed up 😂

Sleepsleepsleep123 · 25/12/2023 20:48

@trudyproud me tooooo! I've had both my others at 38 weeks so this is brand new.

I really thought they'd be here by now but feels like it might be a while yet...

Yep! 39+3 and soooo ready 😆

Jabbawocki · 25/12/2023 22:22

Me! Due tomorrow and more than ready 😂

TTCAbroad · 26/12/2023 10:25

Me! 38+5 right now and equal parts nervous for labour and excited to not be pregnant.

I live in a country where you have appointments every week from 36-40 weeks and my clinic does cervical checks if you want. Had one today and am a whole 1cm dilated!

Glad to have some people to wait with! How is everyone feeling? Any signs?

Redpanda21 · 26/12/2023 11:44

Me! I’m 36+3 today and going to be having sweeps from 37 weeks.

So uncomfortable now.

Sleepsleepsleep123 · 26/12/2023 12:25

I'm 2cm dilated but nothing happening! I'm trying everything as well. They won't do a sweep until 39 weeks where I am but a consultant friend of mine said they don't work anyway!!

How are the second (third etc) time moms feeling about labour? I thought I was calm but with some backaches and Braxton-Hicks I’m getting pretty nervous.

@TTCAbroad I'm really nervous. I've been so blase and then I suddenly remembered the intense and unique pain of contractions and now I'm apprehensive.

Me! 38+1 and having pretty much constant braxton hicks for 2 weeks now 😅

Honestly thought he was going to come during Xmas lunch yesterday which would have actually have been a relief as I was so bloody uncomfortable

TTCAbroad · 26/12/2023 13:19

@Sleepsleepsleep123 😂 Ok, a little glad to hear you’re experiencing the same… I miss the ‘ignorance is bliss’ aspect of the first time.

Daveismyhero · 26/12/2023 13:26

I'm 40+5 and still having absolutely no signs. I'm so uncomfortable and fed up now

Is it your first?

Daveismyhero · 26/12/2023 14:06

@Sleepsleepsleep123 yep first baby, I was intermediate risk for preterm delivery the whole way through though so I feel like I'd prepared myself for baby being here by now!

Inmydreams88 · 26/12/2023 14:09

FTM 38+ 6 here, absolutely petrified about the birth so I just want it over with asap! I've been bouncing on my birth ball, drinking raspberry leaf tea, eating hot curries, going for walks, eating pineapple and having sex. I know it's unlikely to make a difference but it makes me feel productive having something to do. Midwife said I will be offered a sweep at 40 weeks but I'm not keen so will probably decline.

TrudyProud · 26/12/2023 14:58

@Sleepsleepsleep123 I've had 2 sweeps. Going back tomorrow for a 3rd. As I understand it they only work if your body is ready to go into labour anyway but as this baby is being born we 12th Jan either 🌸 or ☀️ roof so trying everything I can ahead of then

TrudyProud · 26/12/2023 14:59

This is my 2nd. Just happy my 20month old had me home over Xmas. Her final as an only child 🥰

shivawn · 26/12/2023 15:01

I had my second a few weeks ago, I was sure he'd come early but he was 14 days late! Best of luck to everyone in the final stages now!

blackpanth · 26/12/2023 15:20

I had my second on her due date Xmas eve. Good luck everyone 😊

Sleepsleepsleep123 · 27/12/2023 13:57

Apparently a full moon means a busy labour ward so hopefully some of us pop tonight!!

TrudyProud · 27/12/2023 22:07

Still very much pregnant- this moon (not sure there is a full moon in London) isn't helping to evict my DC.

Attempted another sweep today but Nada. Will try again on Sunday when I'm 39 weeks.
I really thought I'd be having a 2023 baby but looks like baby girl wants 2024!

lucya66 · 27/12/2023 22:25

39w 3 d with my first. Impatient. Want it to happen now.

TTCAbroad · 28/12/2023 06:03

No full moon luck over here 😒 Had a few times where is was sure it was starting but I was obviously wrong…

It was on 26th in London. I was just so sure I'd have given birth by now!

What did they say about your cervix when you had your sweep?
