extreme abdominal muscle pain

Hi,

30 weeks pregnant and this morning I pulled or tore or SOMETHING a muscle across the front/side of my bump. The pain is excruciating. I can't walk. I can barely move. Panadol does nothing. My midwife sent me to the hospital to rule out appendicitis, which they did. And baby was fine when they did the monitoring. But. I'm still in pain, 12 hrs later. No change in the level of pain, it's still excruciating, still can't move. It's 1:30am here in NZ and I can't sleep. I'm exhausted, and honestly I'm scared out of my mind. I keep telling myself that the doctors said everything was fine and it's just muscular, but I can't stop thinking this isn't normal, this can't be normal, something's wrong.
If anybody out there has experienced something similar please let me know in comments. I'm having such a rough time with this pregnancy - with pretty bad anxiety and now this. I could really use some reassuring words, helpful anecdotes or advice on how to manage the pain.
Thanks,
CJ

Slightly different as I wasn't pregnant, but I had severe muscular back pain recently. I did have strong painkillers (which may not be appropriate given the pregnancy) but I found heat really helped. If you have a hot water bottle, try that.

I also found a few sessions with a chiropractor really worked. If that's possible with the pregnancy go for it. I had about 5 sessions and it was £37 a session and was worth every penny imo.

My sympathy. Muscular pain can be awful, and made worse if you can only take paracetamol for pain relief x
