Is it sage for my cat to lay on my stomach? I'm pregnant and didn't know if it is safe

Remember for second+ children, you'd often have a toddler clambering all over you. Babies are surprisingly resilient in there thankfully.

My old cat always did it when I was pregnant,especially towards the end. They "played" together. The cat would sit on my belly and purr and the vibrations would wake DD up. DD would poke the cat from the inside and the cat would poke DD from the outside. I loved watching it.
