Covid and pregnant

I'm very late 3rd trimester and have caught the dreaded 'rona.

Midwife doesn't seem concerned (which did put my mind at rest) and no temperature which I'm taking as a good sign.

But I'm worried this constant coughing snd blowing my nose is somehow going to affect baby, or pull something or do some damage. Probably over thinking it.

Has anyone else had it this late on and managed/everything was ok?

Of all times to get it, heavily pregnant at Xmas.

Thank you x

I'd say don't worry about it too much, people don't even know these days if they have covid or not as majority don't bother to even test anymore. Just treat it like you would a cold/flu. Lots of hydration and vitamins etc. stay off Google!

I had it at 36 weeks, was fine. Now have a healthy 17mo.

My sister caught it twice in the same pregnancy
No issues at all

Not COVID but I had a really nasty cold in the last few weeks before I gave birth, I was coughing so hard I kept weeing myself! I think it's really common to have horrid bugs near the end of pregnancy as your immunity is quite poor. I wouldn't worry at all.

Me too!
I'm 35 weeks and been really poorly for the past 4 days. Midwife did a risk assessment but nothing was prescribed, just told to rest up.

I'm hoping it gets better soon because I'd hate to go into labour this poorly.

'rona?! Long time since I've heard that.

You'll be fine, just take care of yourself.

Im 30+5 weeks today and tested positive this morning after my mum who looks after my lg tested positive about 5 days ago and so far, I wouldn’t have even tested and put it down to a nasty head cold, hoping it stats that way! Merry Christmas to us!🥴

Thanks so much for your replies everyone, certainly put my mind at rest even more! Thank you 😊. Baby is kicking away lots which is good too.

Bit breathless and sleepy but hopefully just running it's course now.

Mumoftwo and Peebeee, get well soon! Rubbish timing isn't it, thinking of you!! X
