looking for reassurance . I had a scan on Monday as I had some brown spotting on sat night. Not much, but on wiping. They said baby is fine, 7 weeks and I have a couple of small collections of blood. I then had another bit of brown spotting on Wednesday and then again yesterday but yesterday there were tiny flecs of red in it. The nurse at the hospital said she wasn’t worried about brown spotting but to come back if it was heavy and red. Obviously it’s Christmas now and everything is shut so I can’t ask for advice. I just wondered if anybody had the same and it was fine? I’ve had no pain, feeling all the symptoms of pregnancy but it’s just the red flecs im worried about. Also, if it is a miscarriage, how long will it take to happen? We are due to go to my in laws tomorrow for Christmas until the 27th and I don’t want to go and then have the miscarriage.

Ah sorry to hear this. I had a subchorionic haematoma and bled red blood daily from week 12 to 17.5 weeks. I had 2 previous miscarriages and was petrified (even though doctors said it would be fine, I was convinced I would miscarry). Happy to report that baby is now a very sassy 5 year old!

I know it will be such a worrying time for you. Sending you lots of good thoughts.
