Round ligament pain etc

Hello!
currently 18+2 with first baby. In the last week or so I’ve had sensations like a pulled muscle or a stitch. I think it could be round ligament pain. Anyway, I’ve had none today and I’m panicking that could mean something is wrong. Can growing/stretching be intermittent and it’s normal to have days without it? I’m not feeling kicks etc yet.
thanks in advance

It’s normal in the second trimester for the pregnancy symptoms to disappear. I had round ligament pain, it wasn’t severe and would often come and go. I found it was worse when I’d been fairly active.

If you’re feeling worried though then there’s no harm in checking in with your midwife or local maternity unit just for a little bit of advice!

Get it checked if you are worried and you can be referred for physio pretty quickly.

Id say it’s normal for the pain to come and go. I have it and some days I’m absolutely fine and other days I feel like I need to stay in bed or lie flat because of the join and muscle pain. Once you start feeling movements you will be able to check in on the pregnancy based on that.

You know your body so if you are very worried do speak to your midwife.

I have round ligament pain. Started at 16 weeks but would come and go, at first I just thought it was cramping. Then around 28 weeks (currently 36 weeks) it got unbearably painful and still is :(

If you’re worried I’d get baby checked out they aren’t going to send a worried mother away. They’ll likely monitor baby for a bit then if that’s normal send you home.

On the round ligament pain speak to someone about it now to see if there’s anything they can do because I really regret not saying anything earlier about mine :(
