Amniocentesis & now induced miscarriage

I’m 19 weeks & had an amniocentesis yesterday due to suspected Triploidy & a few hours later my waters broke. I’m now in hospital waiting for an induced miscarriage ☹️ I believe I’ll be taking Mifepristone & Misoprostol. We’re devastated 💔 And I’m scared 🥺😔

I'm so sorry you are going through this. We've experienced loss at this stage of pregnancy too and it's heartbreaking.
You'll get through this, sending you love and strength.

my waters went and I lost my little girl at exactly 19 weeks. So i know how you are feeling.

That exact same thing happened to a friend of mine also. I’m so sorry you must be devastated. That is heartbreaking.

@LM88 I am just scared. Scared of the pain. I wasn’t scared before, but knowing I have to go through it all & not even have my baby at the end is hurting. Also, they scanned me last night & she is still alive. The tablets are going to stop her heart :(

OP I am so sorry. That was almost cruel of them to scan you and give you that news but I’m sure they have their reasons.

@NSalvador91 I know these feelings well, they scanned me and I knew she was alive because I could feel her but I told them not to tell me because I didnt want to hear the words out loud but I knew anyway. Its a guilty feeling & its horrible you feeling like its your fault. Unfortunately, there is nothing you (or me) could have done at this stage and it isnt anyones fault.
I was scared of the pain but ask for whatever you need. You will be suprised how strong you will be & you will do it. Just take time to deal with everything and heal. Counselling helped me massively.
Its alot of information to deal with and lots of questions/decisions but dont feel pressured and do whatever you want to how you want too. 💖 this brings back so many things for me & I am so sorry! X
