Clotrimazole cream and cramping?

Hi ladies!

I was prescribed 1% clotrimazole cream for a yeast infection to be inserted vaginally. I am around 9/10 weeks. I have never taken this before but took my first dose last night and was wondering if it’s normal to experience mild cramping with it or should I be concerned?

The cramping was mostly in my lovehandles/hips and in my bikini line, and was fairly mild but noticeable. No abdominal cramping until this morning but I think that was mostly gas, and the cramping seems to have mostly worn off now though there’s some lingering discomfort.

No spotting thankfully but just want to know if anyone else experienced this during their treatment, and was your baby ok? I don’t want to ask my doctor because they didn’t want to prescribe it to me - they prefer a different medication that doesn’t agree with me so I had to really beg for the clotrimazole.
