Anyone else still feeling rubbish in 2nd trimester?

Just that really. Was anyone else expecting the 2nd trimester to be great and still feel rubbish? I'm still waiting for the day I feel well enough to go about my normal day to day. I can't even think about exercise which I am deeply missing. Feeling sick, dizzy, exhausted. This is my 1st pregnancy and I'm low risk. But just feeling absolutely awful.

How far in to second trimester are you? I didn’t start to feel alright until about 16 weeks and had a little sickness relapse at 17/nearly 18 weeks but feeling alright now other than being unable to sit down for a long time.

I'm (just) into the second trimester and still exhausted and vomiting. My first pregnancy was the same so I kind of knew it might go this way. Think I started to feel better around 16-18 weeks last time...

I'm 16 + 3 and just really holding onto hope that it might get better. I think the fact ita effecting my day to day so much is what's bothering me. I really struggle to do anything out of the house. But hoping it'll improve soon!

Hopefully you feel better soon! I just woke up one day and was totally fine but like I say I had that little relapse the other week but all ok again for the most part.

I felt better at 17-18 weeks with my first.

Yes! I'm 16 + 3 and still feeling exhausted, dizzy and on and off nauseous. I was really hoping it would stop around 12 weeks and while it's a bit better I'm still no-where near normal. I've heard some people start feeling better around 17-18 weeks so I'm hoping for that

I felt dizzy and nauseous throughout most of my pregnancy. Although the nausea wasn't as bad by the 20 week scan. I also developed sciatica. Pregnancy is a breeze for some women but awful for others. I'm glad my baby is healthy, but pregnancy was tough.

Ah man I'm sorry you had such a hard time. But good to hear you started to feel better around 20 weeks. It gives me hope that others took longer to feel better as well!

As soon as I hit 18 weeks my sickness and nausea stopped immediately… now 22 weeks and just tired!

Silverfoxlady · 18/12/2023 15:57

15 weeks and I am also still having nausea and vomiting in the evenings, and a horrible bitter taste all afternoon. I hope it will go away soon!

Piper89 · 18/12/2023 16:38

Just a thought, have you had your iron levels checked lately? I felt rough up to 20 weeks when I finally spoke to GP and found my iron was low, tablets have really helped since

Pastaf0rbreakfast · 18/12/2023 16:46

For both pregnancies, I felt okay between 25-30 weeks. Was still being sick up until 23/24 weeks and by 25 weeks it had fully eased off so I get a decent 5 weeks before heartburn, insomnia, sciatica, and generally feeling whale-like starts.

It’s tough but it was worth it enough for me to do it a second time. I’m 32 weeks with DS2 and I’m very happy that this will be my last pregnancy to be honest.

YES!

First pregnancy here. Almost 18 weeks. I feel rubbish, i've put on weight but it looks like fat weight not prenancy weight ( i know how vain this sounds but i am a full time performer so spend much time on stage), feel depressed, worried about the future, want to stay in bed all day. You are not alone. x
