I would really love a furniture set from mamas and papas but it’s over £1,000. Any tips on getting discounts or cash back?

Have you gone onto their website and seen if they have a sign up thing?

Also, sometimes creating an account, adding to basket and then leaving the site prompts some companies to say "you left this" and sometimes offer a discount.

Last option is to Google discounts for them. Some sites, such as DM post various options and it's just trial and error.

Myvouchercodes.co.uk is an ok one. Sometimes it's site discounts being advertised. Just need to look through and keep trying.

You can book appointments with Mamas and Papas to get more information about nursery furniture and pram etc, when you spend over a certain amount, I think £1000 they give you £100 gift card. I think they do it increments depending on how much you're spending. Other shops do sell mamas and papas furniture and sometimes have better deals, we recently got an M&P cotbed from Fenwicks as it was cheaper than shopping direct.

I don't know if they still do it but we got a £100 voucher from M&P when we bought our travel system during a consultation with them. I think you had to spend a certain amount. Not quite a discount but can then use towards something else.
You could also look at cash back sites if you can't find discounts.

There were loads of Black Friday discounts a few weeks ago. Maybe fingers crossed for the January sales?

I found Black Friday a con, it was their usual discounts which are all still there.

If you are anywhere near Huddersfield there is an outlet store attached to their warehouse/HQ which offers quite significant discounts on furniture and other stuff (a lot of ex-display). They have a Facebook page which posts what is in stock but you have to act very quickly. They don’t do delivery btw, pick up only.

Next is the only place I can’t find any discount codes for. The best I can find is 7% off at M&S who also stock it.

Mamas and papas offer a price match guarantee (www.mamasandpapas.com/pages/best-price-guarantee). A couple of years ago, when expecting my first, I found an Occarro travel system bundle at Baby Planet (pushchair, car seat and bassinet) for £600 when it was around £900 in store and they price matched it. You just have to prove that it's an actual store not just an online business too.
Baby Planet sells the mamas and papas furniture sets and I'm sure there must be other similar businesses that do too. Worth a try!

I really wouldn't bother. It's all MDF and plywood, covered in a nice fake veneer.

Used to work for them. Appalling quality stuff. I can remember when the Oxford sets they had in stores were still solid wood, and people saw those, thought that's what they were getting, but truth is, the "new" Oxford range made from PDF was on a container ship from China.

Better brands out there, they just don't have sway with "influencers" so aren't as visible.

Oh and their call center is absolutely impossible to get through too, meaning aftersales support is horrendous.
