Hi everyone

So I'm being induced next week at 38 due to the placenta getting gritty and baby not putting much weight on.
I'm going for a sweep the day before but I really don't think I can last that long.
I have really bad leg aches, feel sick, have an headache (seeing little black squiggles), feeling very irritated, bad back and so tired, lost my mucus plug and 2cm dilated
I go for weekly bp checks and urine checks, everything's fine medically, I am just so fed up. My first pregnancy was a breeze this one has taken every bit of energy and strength too support both me and baby, just really want her in my arms in time for Christmas, any recommendations to get labour going properly, tried hot food, bouncing, curb walking, nipple stimulation, I just have a few twinges then that's all, but today I feel totally different like I have a bug or something, do you think labour would start before 5 days time? Most probably impossible to answer lol just want baby here so she's safe

Have you mentioned headache and black squiggles to the midwife? Headaches and visual disturbances are a sign of preeclampsia.

Up and down stairs.

Any traces of protein in your urine?

Yeah, they have just said because my blood pressure is ok and no protein in my urine they aren't too concerned

Anything that can promote oxytocin! Lots of happiness, relaxing laughing. Yep easier said than done. Are you able to book in some nice things? Dinner out? Spa? If you have the time and money, do all the lovely things.

Sleep as much as possible beforehand. I couldn’t sleep before mine because I was so nervous. I was exhausted before labour even started which really didn’t help.

That sounds like a good plan, I will have a look for a nice restaurant, relax and just let time take its course, I think sleep is definitely on my list! Thanks for responding back

This was my first thought too!

I understand by you being fed up though, I’m 35 weeks and so over this pregnancy. There’s been talk of inducing me at 39 weeks and part of me thinks yes if it gets it over with.
