When did you feel your baby from the outside?

I'm not talking about fluttery kicks on the inside, I mean actually putting your hand on your belly.

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and just noticed this morning that there's what feels like a distinctly firmer lump / bump just in from my right hip bone, where the rest of my stomach is totally squishy. It's moved slightly since first thing when it was nearer my belly button.

Not sure if it's the baby or far too early for that and maybe just some trapped gas Grin

20 weeks with my son but just around now with this one. I'm 18 weeks currently.

At about 20 weeks I started feeling the kicks on the outside

Thank you! This isn't kicks, I haven't felt those at all yet, but it's like I could press my stomach and feel a harder lump under the skin/muscle. I can feel it a bit now but not as distinctly (like it's further in / down) and in a different position.

I could only feel my uterus when lying down on my back, from maybe about 14 weeks? Not sure if this is what you mean...

I'm nearly 21 weeks and have been feeling exactly what you are feeling for around two weeks.

I know it's baby. Because it moves from one spot to another. Exactly like you say, not kicking, but clearly something there! It lasts seconds. Then the hard bit pops up elsewhere! Usually at similar points of the day!

I really am enjoying it after speaking to my midwife about it and her confirming it is in fact, the very start of movements!! X

Thanks @GLC789, that's exactly it! And yes I should have said, it's only when I'm lying down on my back that I can feel anything. I am doing now so just had a squish and nothing this morning, he or she must be hiding Grin

@CheeseWisely its so crazy isn't it! But I love it! It's like mine and baby's little secret moments... Until the real kicks start!! X

36 weeks and haven’t felt more than a flutter throughout my pregnancy
