Calpol vapour plug in & pregnancy

Hi! I'm a anxious mum, pregnant with my second.
my toddler has a cold, so I bought the calpol plug in.. after plugging it in I thought to google if it was safe to use in pregnancy (google says no 🤦‍♀️) so I turned it off but I can still smell it upstairs.
the box I bought doesn't say anything about not using in pregnancy

.. anyone know why it isn't recommended?
I asked my midwife and she wasn't really sure.

Try not to worry it would be because, like most things, they never test products on pregnant women so they can't technically say it's safe- we used them for my toddler when pregnant for our second. Hope this put you at ease!

This. They can't say broccoli or pizza is safe in pregnancy either, because they can't test on preggos. Don't worry.
