Think I’m having another chemical pregnancy

Hi all, first time posting here but just hoping for a bit of reassurance or just people with similar stories. I fell pregnant last month in my first month of TTC and was over the moon but I ended up bleeding a few days later. I've fallen pregnant again straight away and had my first barely visible positive 3 days ago which was still very faint yesterday but definitely there and then today it looks slightly fainter than yesterday again. I'm currently 12DPO so still very early but I feel like it shouldn't be getting lighter and it still seems so light for 12DPO. Both were taken with FMU and I'm just so anxious of going through the same again as I was heartbroken last month. I'll try to attach a photo, top test is yesterday morning and bottom test is this morning.

Hi , I know nobody can really assure you as we simply don't know but try not to stress yourself out. I know easier said than done. At this stage all you can really do is wait to see. I'd test again in few days with different brand not easy at home.
I had a chemical pregnancy this time last year and I'm currently 9w pregnant again from my ivf cycle. I was convinced I was having another chemical as my lines didn't get any darker , I tested every day and I convinced myself one of them was lighter even tho my urine was concentrated. My easy at home were really really faint and didn't darken until I was about 20 days past my 5 day transfer. Which would be 25 days past ovulation. I even went to gp and got a hcg blood test which came back in normal range. I used the boots tests and did get slighter darker lines on those and had a second hcg blood test end of nov. I found those easy at home ones just really fuelled my anxiety, Mine never got that dark with easy at home. I stopped testing everyday after 7 weeks when I saw heartbeat. If a test gets lighter and eventually no line is seen then yes it would likely indicate your hcg is no longer present but as for lines not getting darker , I really don't think it tells you anything. That's what's my experience has been. All it can tell you is if your pregnant or not . My clinic told me a line even a very faint line is a positive.
Could you ask your gp for a hcg blood test 48hrs apart for some reassurance?

Hello! Definitely try another brand. I had some bad evaps last cycle on easy@home xx

Thank you so much. I’ve requested bloods from my GP but I presume I’ll have to wait until next week with it already being Thursday afternoon. I know they’re definitely not evap as they look very different to the negatives with a slight grey line from last month and I have all the same symptoms as I did last time but I just don’t know!! It’s so difficult. I’ve ordered some FRER tests to come tomorrow too but I just feel like I’m trying to cling on to anything at this point. I’m just so scared at the thought of having a second chemical, one is statistically normal but two in a row just makes me feel like there must be something wrong with me xx

Good plan getting bloods done. The waiting is horrible, I know (I've had an ectopic). For what it's worth, I don't think 2 chemicals automatically means there is something wrong. The process just isn't that reliable. Apparently it's very common for eggs to be fertilized but not progress - it's a surprisingly high number of conceptions actually. I'll have to look up the statistic again... But yes it's shitty when you're aware of it happening because of the emotional consequences.

My positives looked like that and I was 15dpo! I was also worried as they were so light and hardly seemed to progress over a few days. I’m now 9 weeks. Hope it works out ok for you.
