Early pregnancy emotions

I’m around 5 or 6 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and just wondered if it’s normal to feel tearful a lot? I don’t remember feeling like this with my first. However, I had a difficult birth with her and she cried a lot as a baby, for a long time we said we weren’t having another. She is now 3 and so much fun, lovely, kind aswell as a pain at times like any toddler! So we decided to try for another. I’m not sure whether how things went last time are affecting my emotions or if it’s normal hormone related emotions, mix of both etc. We don’t want to tell people until closer to 12 weeks this time as we were forced to last time as I was severely sick, so I can’t even talk to my mum who is my best friend. Thank you.

@Bubbles2692 hey! Congrats on your pregnancy! I'm 6+3 and also having some quite emotional moments and crying at weird things. Definitely very normal for emotions to be all over the place at this stage!

You don't sound completely sure of your decision not to share the news with anyone. If you think it would be helpful to be able to speak about it then do!

@SnookyPook congratulations to you too! Sounds like we are quite close! :) Thank you for the reassurance, sometimes just nice to hear other people say, me too! I’m just really close to my mum and tell her everything so it feels strange not telling her this. Don’t know how I’ll get through Christmas refusing a drink. Hope all goes well for you, thank you for your reply.
