Hi this is my first time posting on here and my first pregnancy!

I am 39 weeks today and I have been experiencing slight cramps and discomfort since yesterday they aren't anything to shout about but are definitely there. They are the kind of cramps you get when you have a cough tummy bug or need a number 2/have trapped wind lol, I have been going toilet more frequently than I normally do and I haven't eaten anything unusual, it's light a tightness across my belly type cramp accompanied with a dull ache in my lower belly, they seem to be more frequent and intense today but again nothing extreme or painful mainly uncomfortable.

I don't know if this the start to something or am I being dramatic lol, I haven't had a show or lost my plug or anything like that.

Has anyone else experience this?!
Thank you xxx

I had mild cramps for a few days sporadically before I went in to be induced. When I was induced I was already a few cm dilated, so could maybe be the early stages and signs of labour, these can go on for a few days. I was a FTM as well and wondered how you would know when your in labour, as everyone else told me I'll tell you the same, you will definitely know about it 😂

Thank you!! Its so strange like having no idea what to expect haha, I have no doubt I will know about it though lol, just don't know what could be a sign of something starting and what isn't. Thank you though! X

Could be Brixton Hicks. Could be early labour. They can feel very similar. At 39 weeks, you are carrying a full term pregnancy so it's not a worry to go into labour at this stage.

I'm sure your midwife has talked you through this but the link below tells you how to spot labour and what to do/when.

All the best with the baby whenever s/he makes an appearance 😊
