8 weeks bleeding and cramps

Hi Everyone,
I’ve been having bleeding (bright red/pink) for 12 hours now with period like cramps and back pain. Feels like I’m having a period. I’m 8 weeks. Has anyone had this and had a happy ending?
The doctor said not to worry it can be implantation but it feels worse than that and I’m convinced it’s a miscarriage.
I’m booked for a scan tomorrow but it’s scary waiting. If it is a miscarriage how quickly will the bleeding get heavier?

I think if it's ongoing bleeding that sounds quite worrying i am sorry to say. It may not get too much worse above a bad period though at 8 weeks

Yeah I thought as much. Thanks for your honesty. The doctor was really dismissive and said unless it’s soaking a pad it’s not a miscarriage. He gave my husband hope but I didn’t think there’s any chance these heavy cramps and bleeding could be anything else. I’m preparing for the worst

I guess what can the drs say, some of them aren't very good at finding the words when there is nothing useful they can do

I’m sorry to hear this- whether it ends in a miscarriage or not (and it may not!) it’s awfully distressing.

i can say that my miscarriage started with bleeding and cramps that ramped up over 12-24 hours until it became really uncomfortable and then the miscarriage started and the pain eased off from there. It was never more than bad period cramps pain wise but mentally it was awful.

crossing everything for that it doesn’t go that way

Thanks for letting me know. I’m still having cramps and bleeding so pretty sure miscarriage is the outcome. I’m just going to bed in and watch lots of films! Hoping it won’t get too painful.
