29+5 mucus plug or bloody show?

Since 27 weeks I've been in and out of hospital with contractions and spotting. Im on cyclogest pessaries once a day to try to keep her cooking for as long as possible. I've been told that I am 1cm dilated and that my cervix has shortened very slightly so I was given the steriods and magnesium sulphate to help mature baby if she wants to arrive early. I have only just got home from hospital this evening on bed rest and just been to the toilet and had this. Does this look like something else is happening with my cervix?

Hi OP how are you? That does look like a bit of your mucus plug, it's not a bloody show as it doesn't look like it's really got blood in it. However it probably isn't your entire mucus plug, it would normally be a bit bigger than that. It's possible for some of it to come away and then for it to regrow or it might be the start of it all coming away. If you're already 1cm dilated though I'd be very wary. I'm assuming you went back in to be checked again? If not please do call them and go now.
