Hello just checking in which remedies you use for colds & flu during pregnancy?

Think they say paracetamol is fine...?
Is Beechams powders ok?
Lemsip?
Guess no harm in rubbing Vicks vape rub on?

Thanks!

Vicks is fine as is paracetamol. The back of lemsip says to check with your Dr if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. The main one is no decongestant tablets/syrup. A spoonful of honey is a great cough syrup alternative too ☺️

Lemsip has paracetamol in, so ditch that and have paracetamol with a hot lemon/honey drink.

If you have a blocked nose/sinus I find the sterimar nasal spray works well!

Lemsip no - it's the decongestants I believe

It depends on the type of lemsip. For example, I have Lemsip Max Cold & Flu and the only active ingredient in that is paracetamol. Other lemsip variations, however, do contain phenylephrine hydrochloride which is a decongestant.
